报告摘要:
Strong gravitational lensing is the formation of multiple images of background objects due to the gravity of intervening foreground objects. This rare but fascinating phenomenon has been exploited as a unique and powerful tool of probing baryons, dark matter, and cosmology. In this talk, I will give a brief overview of strong-lens searches in various domains and present several case studies of how strong gravitational lensing events can be used to learn about galaxy evolution and cosmology. I will conclude by discussing opportunities from the forthcoming Chinese Space Station Telescope and Wide Field Survey Telescope.
报告人简介:
舒轶平,中国科学院紫金山天文台,研究员,博士生导师。2014年毕业于美国犹他大学,获博士学位。2015年到2022年,先后在中国科学院国家天文台、英国剑桥大学和德国马克斯普朗克天体物理研究所从事博士后研究。获得过国家级青年人才计划和英国牛顿国际奖学金的资助。研究工作主要集中在利用强引力透镜现象,研究星系演化和宇宙学。
