学术预告:孙方稳谈“Quantum super-resolution microscopy and quantum sensor with nitrogen vacancy center in diamond”

  Here I will give a brief introduction to the super-resolution microscopy with quantum mechanics, the quantum super-resolution microscopy. In the following, I will show two super resolution microscopies to image and manipulate nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond with sub-diffraction resolution. Based on the quantum nature of antibunching photon emission, we has realized a quantum statistical image (QSI) of single quantum emitters without the restriction of the diffraction limit. By simultaneously counting the single-photon and two-photon signals, the images of nearby NV centers at a distance of 8.5 (2.4) nm have been successfully reconstructed. Furthermore, to manipulate the adjacent NV centers, we used the optimized optical manipulation of charge states of NV centers and developed the charge state depletion (CSD) microscopy to achieve the resolution of 4.1nm with 50mW pumping. Since the charge state conversion is a two-photon process with long wavelength pumping, a cascaded pumping method can be applied to get the nanoscale resolution with much lower intensity. In experiment, we demonstrated the NV center based nanoscopy to detect the local optical field and image the nanostructure with the resolution about 100nm. Along with the sensing of electromagnetic field, temperature and pressure, the NV center based super-resolution microscope can act as a universal multi-functional nanoscale detection platform.

报告人简介:

       孙方稳博士,中国科学技术大学欧洲杯投注入口官网教授,光学与光学工程系副系主任。20017月和20077月分别在中国科学技术大学获得学士学位和博士学位。20077月至20096月在美国哥伦比亚大学从事博士后工作。20096月回到中国科学技术大学量子信息重点实验室以及光学与光学工程系工作。主要围绕量子光学和微纳光学在量子信息技术中的应用开展系列的实验和理论研究,并在量子测量和量子超分辨成像方面获得进展。曾相继获得全国百篇优秀博士论文奖,教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划和基金委优秀青年基金支持。近五年内,已经在Nat. Photon.Phys. Rev. Lett.等国际重要学术刊物上以主要作者发表文章60余篇。主持科技部973子课题和基金委重点项目,面上项目等。
